Who’s excited for Thanksgiving!?! Personally, it is my favorite holiday of the year. You simply can’t beat fantastic food, family, friends and football. And just a little programming note: there will not be a Black Friday Fun Links (I’ll be in the fine state of Ohio for Thanksgiving). I hope you enjoy a relaxing start to your holiday season!

Earlier this month, many voters elected candidates based upon their ability to “fix the budget.” The New York Times created a nifty little tool for us novices to take a stab at balancing our nation’s debts, ourselves. This helpful exercise certainly illustrates the tight-rope one has to cautiously walk when dealing with this delicate subject.

Who doesn’t enjoy relaxing in a comfy t-shirt? Now you can lounge in uber-style when showing off one of the creations from Threadless Tees. As their website states, “Threadless is a community-based company that prints awesome designs created and chosen by you!” The shirts are cheap, one-of-a-kind and fashionable… sounds like a winning combination to me. Here’s my personal favorite:

X-Ray Dog

My dog ate my homework... no seriously.

If you’re a reader of this blog or familiar with the products RJS sells, then you’ll be quite familiar with Sophos. Earlier this month, they announced the release of the FREE Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac Home Edition. But what’s that you say? Macs don’t have virus issues? Sorry to burst your bubble, but since its release on November 2nd, over 50,000 reports of malware have been found. If you own a Mac, do yourself a favor and keep yourself protected… for free!

Tis the season to be purchasing gifts and corresponding with family and friends. If you don’t have a ton of free change (who does these days?), then take a look at these sweet Postcards from Penguin: One Hundred Book Covers in One Box. Grandma will love hearing from you and will particularly enjoy a postcard featuring a vintage Penguin book cover of the Great Gatsby or Keeping Poultry and Rabbits on Scraps.
