As much fun as leprechauns and four-leaf clovers are, March Madness has taken over many an office building. To get you amped up for the tournament, enjoy Tauntr’s “Greatest March Madness Moments Lego-ized.” Now where can I get the Christian Laettner lego set?
Yummy Books is a website where the author takes various food written about in popular fiction, creates its recipe, cooks/bakes it and includes lots of pictures along the way. Latest entries include the Hunger Games’ Cherry Pistachio Baked Alaska and Lord of the Flies’ Pig’s Head Terrine. It’s a pretty fun concept and a bunch of great literary cuisine is featured!
Speaking of food … I must be late to the game, but have you heard of the hip restaurant theme of eating in the dark? Apparently as the story goes, dinner guests of a blind clergyman decided to blindfold themselves during their meal as a sign of solidarity with their host and unexpectedly enjoyed a dining experience that greatly enhanced their sense of smell and taste. It was such a hit, the clergyman opened up the first “dark restaurant” in 1999 and it’s been a fad ever since at a handful of eateries around the world.
Finally, a young 4th grade student was so greatly impressed by Texas weatherman Albert Ramon’s visit to his school, he wrote a thank you note so unique and funny, you just have to read it! Here’s a snippet: “You’re more awesome than a monkey wearing a tuxedo made out [of] bacon riding a cyborg unicorn,” Flint wrote.
